Get selected for Europe’s premier master school programmes for entrepreneurial technologists
The admissions portal for the EIT Digital Master School is now open. Students can apply for a two-year programme and be awarded upon graduation two Masters degrees from two top technical universities, plus a certificate from the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).
The EIT Digital Master School aims to train professionals with state-of-the-art technical excellence in key digital technology areas, combined with strong expertise in innovation and entrepreneurship.
It does this in cooperation with 18 leading technical universities in nine countries and research and industry partners across Europe.
EIT Digital offers eight Master School programmes.
Compared to last year, there have been a few changes. The Digital Media Technologies programme has an updated curriculum and a new name: Visual Computing and Communications. A new Cyber Security programme has been developed with a modern industry-focused curriculum and a range of new university partners. This replaces the old Security and Privacy programme. Finally, there is a new programme in Autonomous Systems with a strong orientation towards robotics, artificial intelligence and autonomous vehicles. The programme Software and Service Architecture is no longer eligible for applications.
The fast technical changes, obliges the Master School to constantly monitor the programmes, says Dr Patrick Hartigan, Head of the Master School, said about the changes. ” As technology advances very rapidly, so must the programmes that we offer. These are evolutionary changes that are necessary so that our graduates’ education will always be closely aligned to the opportunities, both in employment and in enterprise creation.”
The other programmes remain largely the same as last year. They are Cloud Computing and Services, Data Science, Internet Technology and Architecture, Embedded Systems, and Human Computer Interaction and Design.
During the two-year course of study, students learn at two different universities in two countries, complete a work placement and also participate in a two-week summer school programme.
Above all: by studying at EIT Digital, students are part of a unique ecosystem of entrepreneurs, companies, researchers and alumni across the whole of Europe.
At the time of graduation, it is anticipated that the EIT Digital Master School students are 100 percent employed or continuing in PhD-programmes. Almost one third of those who are employed secured jobs before completing their studies. Over a third of the graduates plan to start their own company within two years of graduation.
