Cyber incidents and Cybersecurity related risks occur in all industries. Hence, the role of a  Cybersecurity Consultant is becoming important for all types of organisations. But what exactly should be the professional profile of a cybersecurity consultant?  That is key in the workshop on Education for Cybersecurity professionals of the CONCORDIA consortium.

EIT Digital is a prominent partner of the CONCORDIA consortium. This H2020 project is in charge of piloting an EU Cybersecurity Competence Network, and leading the development of a common Cybersecurity Research & Innovation Roadmap for Europe. CONCORDIA is one of four pilots financed by the European Commission which will develop a sustainable European cybersecurity competence network. It brings together 52 partners from more than 20 European countries, including leading research, technology, industry and public sector representatives.

In this highly interactive workshop, CONCORDIA looks into sharing information and collecting feedback on specific on a specific model for developing and deploying courses for cybersecurity professionals and an associated Certification scheme, while also shaping the profile of the European Cybersecurity Consultant.

For who?

The workshop is aimed at anyone who is engaged with European cybersecurity professionals. This can be middle managers or executives at all kinds of organisations, representatives of national and European public institutions, and universities offering or intending to include in their offer short courses for professionals.

Agenda

The workshop is organised in two online parts and will run in two consecutive days:

Part 1: 2 June,  from 9:30 – 12:30, online

is looking into engaging with the audience for defining the European Cybersecurity Consultant profile in terms of knowledge and skills, and on collecting feedback on a new Cybersecurity Skills Certificate Framework

Part 2: 3 June, from 9:30 – 12:30, online

looks into developing Courses for Cybersecurity professionals and presenting a new model for their deployment while also collecting feedback on the content for a pilot course addressing the Cybersecurity Consultant profile.
