EIT Digital Master School application portal is open
EIT Digital Master School’s admissions portal is open. This means that students with a background in computer science or similar can apply for a unique two-year programme at two of Europe’s best technological universities, where they will travel extensively and build a personal pan-European network while learning how to turn emerging technologies into businesses.
The EIT Digital Master School aims to train professionals with state-of-the-art technical excellence in key digital technology areas, developing this with strong expertise in innovation and entrepreneurship. It does this in cooperation within a network of 17 leading technical universities in nine European countries and research and industry partners across Europe.
Double master's degree and EIT certificate
Upon graduation, students will be awarded two Masters’ degrees from both universities, plus a certificate from the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).
EIT Digital offers seven Master School programmes. One of them is the new programme - Cloud and Network Infrastructures (CNI) - a merger of two former programmes that has been completely revised and updated.
Last year, EIT Digital Master School launched the Autonomous Systems programme. According to Gartner, autonomous things is the number one strategic technology trend for 2019. The other programmes remain largely the same and include, Cyber Security, Data Science, Embedded Systems, Human Computer Interaction and Design, and Visual Computing and Communication.
The fast pace of technological change forces the Master School to constantly monitor its programmes, says its Head Arturo Varona. “The EIT Digital Master School is a unique programme that we review annually because of the rapidly-evolving technological developments. We feel the need to review all of our programmes so that we always offer the best possible education so that our graduates have the best chance of employment or enterprise creation.”
During the two-year course, students go to two different universities in two countries, complete a work placement and also participate in a two-week summer school programme. The academic year starts with a kick-off where students from all the programmes officially start the new academic year by taking part in a business challenge. In total, students can visit up to five European destinations over the two years.
Above all, by studying with EIT Digital, students become part of a unique ecosystem of entrepreneurs, companies, researchers and alumni across the whole of Europe.
100 percent employed
At the time of graduation, EIT Digital Master School students are expected to be 100 percent employed or continuing in PhD-programmes. Almost one third of those who get jobs do so before completing their studies. Over a third of the graduates plan to start their own company within two years of graduation.
