Luigi's academic journey with EIT Digital

Why did you choose the EIT Digital Master School?

EIT Digital Master School means studying in some of the best European universities. Besides an exceptional academic curriculum, EIT Digital also offers the unique opportunity of obtaining a double degree. Furthermore, EIT Digital's scholarship lets me fully focus on my studies without worrying too much about the financial side.

What do you like most about your academic curriculum?

The wide range of technical courses in my chosen universities allowed me to specialise in my field of interest. Moreover, thanks to the business component, I developed an entrepreneurial mindset and learned how to create and validate a business project.

Was it easy to move to your entry/exit universities?

The process of moving from my entry university to my exit university was very easy. Most of the administrative work was carried out by EIT Digital Master School and the partner universities. Of course, moving to a new university in a different country requires some time to adapt.

What is the greatest lesson this academic journey has taught you?

Thanks to this study programme I was able build a big network of friends from all around the world. One of the greatest lessons I learned is that good social capital is probably one of the most important ingredients of success.

Do you consider yourself a digital innovator?

Not yet, but I believe I am on the right path to making a difference in society - and this is in large part thanks to EIT Digital.

For now, my plan is to gain more experience in the field of IT security and always keep my mind open to interesting opportunities.

Which advice would you give to future students to be successful and make the best of this EIT Digital experience?

Be ready to work hard and try to never miss an opportunity to learn new skills. Also, don't be shy to make new friends - and don't forget to reserve some time for fun and the EIT Digital events.
