The costs of attending EIT Digital Master School are listed below. Please examine the information carefully.

Application Fee and Registration Fee

Application Fee: A non-refundable application fee of 75 EUR shall be paid via bank transfer to the EIT Digital Education Foundation immediately upon submitting the application. The application is rendered invalid if the application fee is not received in due time; there is no possibility to waive the application fee. Instructions will be emailed upon final submission of your application. Once the application fee is received, you will receive an email from the EIT Digital Education Foundation containing confirmation and a paid copy of your invoice (this may take 7-10 business days to confirm).

If you have applied for several programs, please note that you need to pay the application fee for each submitted application.

Registration Fee: A non-refundable deposit of 250 EUR shall be paid via bank transfer to the EIT Digital Education Foundation within seven days of accepting a study offer in the EIT Digital Master School. This deposit will be credited to the first semester's tuition fee.

If you apply for several programs, please note that you need to pay the application fee for each submitted application.

Admitted applicants will receive an invoice from the EIT Digital Education Foundation. The respective tuition fees shall be paid accordingly, by bank transfer before the start of each semester.

* Please observe that if you hold a residence permit from, or previously studied in, an EU/EEA country, you will still be considered a non-EU applicant. 

** Please note that non-EU tuition fees will apply to British citizens who submit an application from January 1, 2021 onwards.

Expected deadlines for payment of the first semester’s tuition fees:

EIT Digital Scholarships

Every year EIT Digital invests a significant amount of budget in scholarships to attract the best talent worldwide. Scholarships are merit-based and are offered to the top applicants in each programme and at each entry point.

Huawei Scholarship of Excellence in Cyber Security

Thanks to this merit-based scholarship programme sponsored by Huawei, top EU applicants to the Cyber Security Master’s will receive a full tuition fee waiver and a living allowance of 5 000 EUR/year.

Students receiving this scholarship will have the opportunity to carry out their internship at one of the Huawei cyber security evaluation facilities or Huawei cyber R&D centers across Europe. Location will depend on selected topic.

Aalto University Students Scholarships and Additional Financing

In the case that a student does not complete his/her education by the end of the academic year at his/her exit university, the EIT Digital Master School Office bears no responsibility in covering tuition fees for additional semesters, if required. The student will be subject to local regulations and local fees. This scholarship can provide a tuition fee waiver for the 5th semester of studies.

BME Scholarship for top non EU/EEA students

The scholarship is 2 500 EUR/semester, and cannot exceed 5 000 EUR/semester with the EIT Digital tuition fee waiver.

ELTE Grants

The amount is up to 2 000 EUR per year for EU/EEA and 10 000 EUR per year for non-EU/EEA students, the latter are also eligible for a travel grant of 1 000 EUR per year.

ELTE may also offer funding on a case-by-case basis once the student arrives, through different industrial and educational research projects running at the university.

Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme

The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme was launched in 2013 by the Hungarian Government. The main goal of the programme regarding the education policy is to support the internationalisation of Hungarian higher education and its constant development, to strengthen the international relations of the Hungarian academic and research community, to enhance the cultural diversity of higher education institutions and to promote the good reputation and competitiveness of Hungarian higher education throughout the world. The programme also aims to establish and encourage the personal and professional attachment of foreign graduates to Hungary and contribute to the promotion of Hungarian culture and language abroad.

The Swedish Board of Student Finance (CSN)

The Swedish Board of Student Finance (CSN) is the government agency that manages Swedish student finance, i.e. grants and loans for studies.

Tuition fee waiver for the year studying at University of Twente

Eiffel Scholarship

Université Côte d'Azur collects application for the Eiffel Scholarship. These scholarships are only awarded to applications of very high quality, only applications with a view to carrying out studies in engineering science at Master' s level (4th and 5th year) are admissible.

MAECI - Italian Government Scholarship

Grants for foreign citizens and Italian citizens living abroad awarded by the Italian Government.

UNITN Double Degree Scholarship for EIT Digital Students

Double Degree Scholarship is reserved for EIT Digital Students and is 2 500 to 4 500 EUR. Available to students with entry at UNITN, to be received during their second year abroad.

EIT Digital double degree programme students can apply for a thesis research grant also for destination countries entailed by the programme itself (provided that they are not benefitting from a programme grant). More details here.

POLIMI Scholarship

EIT Digital students, like all Polimi students, can apply for merit-based scholarships reserved for top-ranked students.

How to apply: All these grants are centrally handled and are awarded through yearly competitions regulated by public calls so there is a quota only for EIT Digital students. Eligible students must meet specific requirements depending on the kind of scholarship they are competing for (e.g. study progress, GPA, economic conditions). These scholarships may apply also for the year in which students are at the partner university since students are regularly enroled at Polimi for two years. More information here.

POLIMI offers financial aid support to students in difficult economic conditions, based on their family income. Every year, in June, a special call to assign these scholarships is published. Mode details here.

University of Rennes 1 Accommodation Grant

Opportunity to book a room at a very low rate on campus (between 189 and 250€). This opportunity combined with a national allowance for accommodation (APL) to which all students are authorized to apply, ends up with a monthly rent between 50 and 100€. There is a dedicated and limited quota for EIT Digital students.

University of Rennes 1 Tuition Fee Waivers

EU students admitted to University of Rennes 1 will receive a half tuition fee waiver for the Entry or Exit year spent at University of Rennes 1:

University of Turku Scholarship for EIT Digital Master School Students

An academic merit-based 1-year scholarship for EIT Digital Master School students enrolled at University of Turku. There is one scholarship for each University of Turku programmes (Cyber Security, Data Science or Embedded Systems) per entry and exit.

Students who identify conferences overseas that are relevant to their field of research will be allowed to attend the event and can be reimbursed for their expenses.

EIT Digital Master School Deferred Tuition Payment Plan

Thanks to a new collaboration agreement with the European Investment Fund (EIF), EIT Digital will offer EIT Digital Master School applicants for the cohort 2023 the option to defer the payment of the tuition fees for the EIT Digital Master School.

The Deferred Tuition Payment Plan allows applicants to enroll to the EIT Digital Master School, but start paying the tuition fees only from six months after their graduation. Payments will be spread evenly over a period of two years since that time.

No separate application form for the EIT Digital Master School Deferred Tuition Payment Plan is needed, but additional documentation is required. When you apply to the EIT Digital Master School, in the online application portal you will be asked to confirm whether you apply to the deferred payment option in installments. If you select the option, you will be required to upload a valid credit report. Please check this list to learn which organisation issuing credit reports in your country. 

The number of applicants accepted for the EIT Digital Master School Deferred Tuition Payment plan is limited. Applicants will be selected based on merit and credit worthiness. Selected applicants will be informed at the time the study offers are sent.
