Where graduates work

“I joined the Security & Privacy (now Cybersecurity) cohort in 2017, starting at the University of Twente and graduating from the University of Trento. Both universities offered strong foundational courses that played a key role in shaping my skills as a cybersecurity professional. Beyond academics, the EIT and alumni network is extremely vibrant. I’m still in touch with many former students working across different fields. The opportunity to build such a strong, lasting professional network is one of the programme’s greatest strengths.”

“The EIT Digital Master programme turned out to be the perfect launchpad for my Product Management career. I studied Human Computer Interaction and Design (HCID), which taught me the sweet spot between understanding what users actually need and building tech that solves their problems. I got to dive into deep learning and computer vision while also learning the non-tech side, like business strategy and user interviews. Plus, I made connections that have lasted way beyond graduation!”

“The EIT Digital Master School shaped my career in ways I didn't anticipate. The mandatory mobility between Aalto and TU Eindhoven taught me to adapt quickly and embrace new environments - a mindset I've carried through roles at Booking.com, Google, and now Meta in Zurich. The academic freedom to choose my path, from process mining with Prof. Wil van der Aalst to the Aalto Entrepreneurship Society, gave me ownership over my education in a way I hadn't experienced before. I'm genuinely grateful for the foundation this program built.”

“This programme gave me the chance to pursue my master studies in Europe, connecting to its research and innovation ecosystem. We had lots of chances to get to know people, companies, and key players in Scandinavia through several events. I ended up doing my master thesis project at a company which I got to know about during my summer school, and then stayed with the same research group for my doctoral studies. Furthermore, the multidisciplinary syllabus of the Data Science program and in particular the scope of projects we did for our I&E minor in both TU Eindhoven and KTH have helped me a lot as I transitioned to a somewhat different research area as a Postdoc.”

“The EIT Digital Master School gave me more than technical expertise in Internet Technology and Architecture, it taught me how to think like an entrepreneur. The I&E minor, the summer school experience, and opportunities to pitch ideas all planted the seed for what would become my own company. Studying across Berlin and Trento also shaped how I approach collaboration across cultures and markets. In 2016, I co-founded Appbites, which was later acquired by Sigma Technology Group in 2024, where I now serve as CTO and Co-founder of Sigma Technology Southeast Europe. The program didn't just prepare me for a career, it prepared me to build one”

“The EIT Digital Master School gave me a strong foundation in data science through a hands-on, industry-focused learning approach. The programme also encouraged us to build an entrepreneurial mindset, helping us think beyond technical solutions and focus on real-world impact. The international environment further strengthened my ability to collaborate across cultures and perspectives. This combination of technical depth, practical experience, and entrepreneurial thinking has given me a real edge in my career and continues to support my work today as a Senior Data Scientist at ASML.”

“This programme gave me more than an international education. It gave me perspective. Studying across two countries allowed me to build meaningful connections and shaped the way I think. This mindset ultimately guided me toward a career in research. Most importantly, its influence has stayed with me over the years. With time, I have come to realize that research and entrepreneurship share the same foundation: bold ideas, the ability to mobilize resources strategically, and the determination to translate vision into lasting impact on society.”

“The EIT Digital Master School gave me both technical and enterpreneurial skills required to start a company just two years after graduating. The program also helped me build a strong network across Europe, which was crucial during the early days of my business. It was a key step in getting me where I am today.”
